I have read that in the last week over 250 domain names (Website addresses or URLs) have been registered regarding Haiti relief and contributions.   While some of these are legit I suspect that some were just registered to distract givers away from legitimate sites.   Charity Navigator is a useful Website that helps charitable givers to discern how a charity organization uses donations.  They have a special section called, ‘Help Survivors of the Earthquake in Haiti‘ that lists organizations and how they are helping the people of Haiti.
