AASL (American Association of School Librarians) published a list of ‘Top 25 Web Sites for Teaching and Learning’.  This list contains an interesting variety of Websites with a brief introduction for each.  The sites were chosen because they
‘foster the qualities of innovation, creativity, active participation, and collaboration. They are free, Web-based sites that are user friendly and encourage a community of learners to explore and discover.’   They are grouped in 6 categories:

  • Organizing and Managing
  • Content Collaboration
  • Curriculum Sharing
  • Media Sharing
  • Virtual Environments
  • Social Networking and Communication
