On Saturday morning I had the pleasure of seeing Jon Scieszka share his favorite children’s books on CBS’s Early Show .  A posting on ‘The Early Show’s’ Website, ‘Holiday Reads for Your Kids‘, described Scieszka’s expertise:

‘In 2008, Scieska was appointed by the Library of Congress to be the first National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Scieszka is the author of “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!,” which has sold over three million copies and has been translated into 14 different languages. He is also the author of the equally successful “Stinky Cheese Man, Math Curse,” the “Time Warp Trio” series, and many more.  During his two-year term as a national ambassador, Scieszka has visited over 300 schools, libraries, bookstores, and teacher and librarian conferences.’

During the show Scieszka shared his “Five Ambassador Choices” for children’s books.  Check out the article to find out what they are.  http://www.cbsnews.com
